Vestibular rehabilitation is a type of therapy that utilizes specialized exercises designed to treat issues with balance, vertigo, headaches, dizziness, tinnitus, and cervical dysfunction. Symptoms related to vestibular dysfunction can be scary and oftentimes debilitating. Our therapists will work carefully and slowly with you during your hour-long sessions in a warm, and compassionate environment.
On your first visit, your therapist will take a history of your condition and listen to your concerns. Then an exam will be performed to discern the origin of your symptoms. The evaluation may include a musculoskeletal exam, eye movement testing, or a balance and gait examination. You may be taken through different movements that can provoke your symptoms, but will help us to properly diagnose the issue.
Our compassionate therapists successfully treat vestibular conditions incorporating hands-on techniques, and detailed, individualized instruction in self-care strategies, and home exercises.
